Maybe much more or less , they never said specifically how many relics they recover during the encounter.They could find more than 1 relic or even a dozen at once since some of the places shown were some kind of laboratory.Also they could encounter em but are unable to recover since some are reported to disappear on site.

It is very risky though since all the rookies would have to depend on 2 people (subaru/ginga) that are supposed to be on the front line and would suck if they go down first/have to retreat.Plus that would make those 2 become prime targets
