I suppose that's the underlying reason Cassim's character got so inextricably connected to Alibaba. The series' overall message is right there: if you're not willing to forgive you won't save anyone.

Just look at Hakuryuu. Her mother is certainly a bitch of astronomic proportions, and you could say Haku has the right to hate her. Yet, the story still asks for him to let go of his grudge.
Cassim and Haku, whatever their motives, are not at the basest level truly wrong. But their methods to end one wrong creates another. And when someone rises against that wrong, it'll create another. It creates a chain of basically good intentions that is far more horrifying than simple revenge.

Rather than asking him to forgive her, he's being warned that the hatred is warping him into something similar. He shouldn't forgive her, but instead focus on making sure that no one, NO ONE, has to go through the same pain he did.
