1. Reactor produces 1MW, assumedly 10% is electric energy and 90% is thermal(?)
2. MHD accepts heated cooling fluid and extracts electronic energies via hall-effect therefore reducing overall energy and probably temperature(relatively) assuming another 30% drop from the remaining 90% thermal energy retained.
3. remaining 60% energy now is treated as waste heat and has to be rejected or has the alternative to be run through a conventional thermal boiler turbine engine?
counting 1MW, if I run through my own version of the numbers.
100kW from the reactor.
300kW from the MHD
(.3)600kW = 180 kW from the conventional boiler turbine engine
that about right?
