besides we already see Mikoto in her half-human form in the anime......in the opening ..... the dark figure with a huge sword can only be Mikoto ..... after seeing chapter 20 of the manga most of the fetures that didn't fit till now are becoming more clear(cat ears).....

Maybe I got carried a litle and speculeted here and there .....

oh, no so it is gonna be like bleach...where the cat turns into a lady. However, in the opening theme the dark figure is Mai not Mikoto.....but in episode 7, the dark figure that appear from the harmonium is mikoto's image.
