As much as I love Hina, I wouldn't mind if she got a new arc where she is forced to leave Hayate.
Spoiler for for what I can see happen if Hina got a new arc:
Hina would find her new parents. Still harboring the love she has for her parents, she will have to make a life-changing choice: to move back with her parents and will have to say goodbye forever to Hayate and co still not revealing her secret to Hayate, or stay with current company and saying goodbye forever to parents.
Hina goes back with her parents without revealing her love to Hayate. Hina leaves behind note for her final farewell, still without telling Hayate her feelings, and telling company to not search for her. Hayate and company still searched for her. They found her before she leaves, and gives everyone her final goodbye in person, and tells Ayumi that she cannot keep her promise and lost the bet (from the ferris wheel scene). Hina leaves and moved back with her parents.
Somewhere along the line while living with her parents, secrets revolving the parents gets revealed as to why she was abandoned. Her parents reveal that they left her because of a dark secret, and for Hina's safety, had to leave her. Hina burst into tears, asked why couldn't they take her even thru the dangers, and asked if they knew how she felt growing up without her parents.
Many chapters passed when Hina left Hayate and company. Hina discovered that her parent's story was not complete, and discover the truth to why she and her older sister was abandoned. She runs away from her parents.
Hayate receives a call from Katsura sensei, and ask if he could come by to her (foster parent's) place. There, Hayate finds a Nayuki'd (Nayuki Minase from Kanon) Hina; she haven't eaten, slepts, bathe for a few days. Hina won't talk. Hayate says something to Hina that got her to snap into reality, and started telling her story. This is where Hina reveals the true story about what she discovered, and why she (and her older sister) was abandoned. Yukiji reveals that she knew all about this, and about why they were both abandoned; that's why she never returned to her parents aside from her being 28 yrs old. Hina goes into about why she was never informed. Yukiji explains that she never told Hina because she loved Hina, and that it would only hurt Hina more, just like now, if Hina were to find out about it. Hina tells Hayate her fear about people she holds dear all leaving her, just like what her parents did, and ask Hayate and Yukiji if they can PROMISE not to be the ones she hold dear to leave her. Thus, Hina returns back into the storyline.
For humor purposes, I would say that Hina's biological parents could have ties to Hayate's parents or Mikado. Or Hina revealing to Hayate her true feelings.
