Ryner Reed uses 'boku' (and so does Eris Reed, actually) when he meets Ryner in vol6, so I'm buying into the theory that the speaker in the prologue is probably Ryner Eris Reed.

Eris Reed does have self-will, and seems to be a bit more...insane than Ryner Reed?(he also looks exactly like Lucile...though by that point, Eris was 99% devoured already, so his image might be influenced by Lucile's appearance) The latter was a pretty nice guy in the small time we knew him, but Eris Reed has lines like

Lucile could not understand the meaning behind the demon's words, after all.

But he knew that he didn't have a choice to begin with.

Because nothing is going to end unless he devours the demon.

Because the darkness that falls upon his sister won't disappear.

That's why he devoured the demon.
