In Irish' defense, he trusts Ichika more than he trust Tatenashi, so that reaction is actually normal. Of course, this
still qualifies as HoYay from other characters AND readers POV.
Also, Laura is an odd case in ST, in that she knew the concept of mating but not the accurate detail (not even "Insert Tab A into Slot B"). When Charles subdue her down and she's naked, she think she'll get pregnant (adding more fuel into the fire, seeing as Houki and Ichika already misunderstood). The reason? She remember about dogs and cats doing it and got pregnant...
