I thought about running a 2008 poll but was waiting to see whether musical scores were going to be a category in Kyomi's
Choice Awards poll. I'm a little busy at the moment to do this again, but you're all welcome to pick up the torch.
I didn't find many of the scores I heard in 2008 all that memorable. The mix of quiet piano sequences and epic-scaled orchestral pieces in
Shion no Ou was one of the best.
Of the ones I nominated in 2007, I still listen to the OST for
Dennou Coil on a regular basis, and the ones for
Bartender and
Oh! Edo Rocket as well. "Guns 'n Roses," the OP from
Baccano! is now my cell ringtone.
