I meant to say there was nothing funny or interesting in the 1st episode. In Clannad there was that mysterious parallel universe at the beginning, then the funny starts with Kyou throwing a book at Tomoya, then Tomoyo beating that gang, and on and on...
Back then I watched all available episodes of Clannad one after another.
