Almost all my first anime are mecha oriented, anime such as Robotech, Lezarion, Voltes V, Astroboy (the 1980's version), it's mostly the action that I liked. My change of pace probably came with Little Princess Sarah - an anime I enjoyed for the story alone, and I liked Sarah too of course.
My anime interests are already varied (Rozen Maiden, Fate Stay Night, Higurashi) by the time I joined this forum.
