Out of 167 shows I dropped 2 (Ayakashi and Clannad AS). It's very easy to keep going with a show if you have a reason to watch it, may that be a certain character, a setting or anything else, even if it doesn't show up that often.

Then again if someone has a large amount of dropped shows it's mostly because they start watching series that are clearly out of their comfort zone.
