@Kuroi is right, Mahouka is no different than your average LNs. As for Horizon, probably you can compare it with Gate: Thus JSDF Fought here, which have ridiculous amount of pages as well (And thus very nigthmarish for your pocket)
Just reading Vol 4 of Mahouka, and i cannot stop myself from grumbling because there're several lines and scenes that got toned down compared to its original web novels version.
