You forgot one major (common sensical) rule: Wear protective clothing. A pair of good jeans and a leather coat (or some other thick material that is not too bulky) can save your life from stray bites almost as well as having a good weapon. A stray bite from the zombie you do not see can is just as large a problem as a group of zombies bearing down on you. Remember, defense is just as pivotal as offense in the Zombie Apocalypse...
