I am lamenting how on one hand (East 4 honba 2) -- I called riichi for a 3-6 man nobetan wait, instead of a 2-5 nobetan. The 3-6 call rendered me furiten, but I was too late to notice. The hand could have been won with a draw of a red 5-man. At least, I avoided chombo; but a mistake like that cost me from winning.
And I was feeling good too.
The reason for selecting 3-6. I did see the 3-man in my discard, but I was mentally thinking of using it as "suji" to win off the 6-man. Of course, this strategy didn't apply here.
