Noe is the best character, the most straightforward, and the most innocent. Which means that bad things will probably happen to her, sadly. I should probably stop watching right now.
Spoiler for Episode 7 thoughts:
This episode was really a good one for her. What amazes me, though, is that it took Shin SOOO LONG to figure out that Noe likes him. Isn't making a bento for a guy a traditional sort of "I like you" sign? Was he just throw off because she's a weirdo? To be fair, she didn't realize it herself, but still, it was really obvious. Actually, what's interesting about Noe is that she is very perceptive about others, though not so much about herself. She knew right away that Shin was acting moody because of Hiromi. Anyways, good job all around, and now she's snagged him, if only for the time being.
As for her chances... Even from before Shin was thinking about her, but wasn't taking her seriously. I actually think that they have some chance, except that because of Jun's meddling it's probably less likely, simply because instead of naturally realizing that he kinda likes Noe he's putting himself into the situation unnaturally. Eh, there's still a chance (except that Shin is evil and will ruin it, I just know it).
Hiromi is so screwed. That's pretty much all there is to say there. I feel sorry for her, though she's far too moody and extreme for me to root for. Maybe next week we'll get some development with her, but this week she was pretty much in the background.
Ai... Now, that's a sorry case. Since she's the most normal and she's unrelated to Shin, I think that objectively she has the best chance, but somehow it doesn't seem to work in my mind. Good job on throwing herself at him this week, though! Sadly, I can only see pain in the future. It was really painful to watch her with Nobuse, and painful that she won't just dump him. She's hurting him, hoping that he'll dump her, but he's too attached to actually do it...
Actually, when I think about it, that all ties into the theme of infidelity that underlies this series. Next week we should find out something about what happened for sure, though they aren't going to reveal it that easily, I know. Well, if Shin follows in the old man's footsteps, he'll cheat on Noe with one of the others...
I just hope this doesn't turn into "School Days 2".
