ky_khor, for crying out loud... put your post in spoiler tags. You spent all that time building that reply but you didn't even realize a lot of what you said should be hidden anyway. This doesn't have a [manga] stamp on it. That goes for a lot of you too... I'm surprised no mods have swept down yet.
That said, here's a decent team (using both Leaf and Sand teams).
Naruto - you'll need his power in certain situations. He won't do well to begin with, but when it gets tough, he'll still be around taking hits. Get him pissed off and he'll start pwning whoever he's fighting.
Neji - definitely need his Byakugan for sure. His scouting plus his technical ability are a huge plus. I'll pick Neji over Hinata any day; Hinata's not conditioned for battle, even if she's found new strength thanks to Naruto.
Shikamaru - need his tactical abilities. He can make use of everything he's got... plus his shadow copy jutsu is useful in most situations.
Sasuke (sans curse seal) - Also decent tactical abilities. He can act as a Kakashi replacement and be the team's "technician" - able to learn and utilize different jutsu. Also a taijutsu expert.
Temari - An intelligent ninja overall, plus a good ranged attack that can be devastating to an opponent (Tenten saw it).
