I knew these examples would be brought up, but they don't really qualify here. They're very tame in violence, to be quite honest. Luffy has never hit a "pretty" female with the same ferocity/intensity as he has to, say for example, Arlong, Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, etc.
We're talking about actual serious fights here. Maybe Oda will change things up a bit from here on out, but so far things are still looking as formulaic as ever.
