Top 20 Anison Singles (Oricon, Week 28)
Two songs had monster sales bump this week, one (a theme song) was due to the release of the new Ghibli film last week and the other probably in anticipation of the new Pokemon movie. We've probably seen the last of Claris' "Connect" last week after 5 months (though it came at #21 this week) to welcome a slew of new anime theme songs in the coming weeks. Just so you know, seiyuu Minori Chihara (Haruhi's Yuki) new non anime tie-in single debuted at #11 on Oricon.
Notes:
-- Sayonara no Natsu(#45) is the second anime song for Aoi Teshima whose previous Studio Ghibli effort was Gedo Senki's massive seller theme song "Tero no Uta".
-- T-Pistonz+KMC's new single(#30) is the group's worst charting and selling to date of all its Inazuma Eleven singles. It's probably because the show itself has lost some of its steam.
-- Didn't expect "GO NEXT!!"(#4) to chart so high (even if it's a slow sales week) but anyway congrats to the seiyuu previously famous for voicing K-ON's Mugi.
