That few? Maybe it's time to rewatch the DVD boxset before the new series starts!
Besides actual hand combat, I think there are some scenes in Battroid and Gerwalk mode in order to move around in the battleship. Also the Battroid and Gerwalk mode works in urban fighting too. All in all, the transformable mecha is designed for a reason and need.
