You can see the land bridge on the map. It's very large. Rio, pointing at Helvetia, is pointing right at present day Tokyo. Japan is part of the mainland now.

It was nice to see the girls again. One of the ema said in French: I would like to find Shuko (the owl) again???

The amount of information provided after the end of the series about this fascinating, complex, and little explored world makes me think there must be more planned for this franchise. It's kind of pointless to give us all this exposition if there's nothing more.
