It's possible that Kim Jong Un is finding leadership to not be all it cracked up to be. He might find unification with the south an attractive option so long as he can keep himself alive and well heeled.
Though, to be honest, it's pretty hard to know what they're thinking. But it's entirely possible that Jong Un is a lot less mad then his father. Once he has solidified his power (particularly over the military), he might take NK in unexpected directions.
