Spoiler for Episode Thoughts:
I thought this episode was entertaining in the beginning. I really liked the scene where Kanon gets shot, and Shannon screams and lets go of his hand. Kanon's deaths are always really epic xD And they always contain a lot of fantasy and ambiguity too... I don't care about Goat-kun being cut, that part was kind of silly. They still should have kept the Siestas being present when the prisoners were escaping. Otherwise it's really just uncertain as to what killed the escapees. I was also really looking forward to Kanon and Shanon linking xD I thought that might have been kind of important. What does it mean when they are called a "Furniture Pair" in the visual novel?
I expected a sudden epic 'bang' or something when George and Jessica killed eachother. It seemed really quiet, and not epic by any means...but then again, fist/heel to flesh shouldn't make that much noise irl I suppose. Why does Gaap seem a lot more refined and elegant in the anime? I imagined her to be sort of brash, playful, mean, and slutty. And wasn't she supposed to give George a wound to the head with her heel? Aren't body locations and wounds/causes of deaths important in mystery type stories? Why would those things change so much between the anime and the novel? The 'sin' scenes were all over the place. It seemed to be much more confusing in the anime than it was in the visual novel even. Why didn't Beatrice say in red that Battler sinned against her? The 'sin' can't be that he's not Asumu's biological son...which was apparently the only red text in this episode. Also, I thought Battler denied himself out of existence...? Was he actually just banished by Beato? It really did feel like he just left the room instead of having been disallowed to continue playing her.
Well, in the end, I still liked the episode. I read the VN, and I know what actually happens, so I actually don't care that much for the inconsistencies...It would be kind of confusing if I was an anime-only viewer though I guess. This episode was entertaining and I was happy while watching it, so even with the inconsistencies, I voted 8/10.
