Done with Nanoha and Fate. And I finally found a series of vids with Hayate’s storyline in it. And I must say, HAYATE IS SO CUTE~<3

It's a freakin joy to hear and watch more about her beginnings and training as a Mage Knight since all we've ever got from the official series was ONE short track in a Sound Stage where Nanoha and Fate were tutoring her for flight control and then StrikerS completely shafted her. But I'll stop here before I make another very long rant about her treatment there.

Anyway, back to A's PORTABLE. Seeing Hayate now as an official mage makes me a happy little swirly. >@3 We FINALLY get to see how she was as a kid with magic powers and how her personality developed after getting to that point (It was never seen in detail due to the timeskip in the original timeline). Suffice to say, I feel Hayate is easily the one out of the three Aces with the mindset closest to that of a nine year old. Fate's story had a lot to do with her 'weak' heart and how Nanoha and the others give her strength (Considering all the sh*t she had to go through, I can't blame her.) while Nanoha's was about learning the reason why she uses magic. (Seriously, Nanoha! That's almost on the same level as 'my reason of living' that emo teenagers and older people think about.)

As for Hayate, she's also very mature for her age. But she still shows a lot of childish traits. Much more than the other two, anyway.

Spoiler for Quick review of Hayate's storyline:

As for a summary of how Hayate was portrayed, I'd say she's the most childlike of the three Aces. She's mature, yes, but she also oftentimes showed an appropriate amount of naiveté (to the point of silliness at times) suitable for someone her age. What I particularly like was how important her family is to her was shown through her actions and words. She's the Mistress of the Night Sky and she shows the dignity that befits her title. All in all, she's an extremely fun character to follow. Her Kansai accent is really charming here with her mandatory cute little girl tone (I love it when her tone goes affectionate... ). Having Reinforce tag along (She didn't fight because she was still injured from the final battle of A's.) for commentary and exclamations due to Hayate's actions was an added bonus. Sanae Kobayashi is now one of my favorite seiyuus. <3

Seriously, where did all this personality go to in the original timeline? Hayate almost showed more active personality in thirty or so minutes of gameplay dialogue compared to the ENTIRE StrikerS franchise, anime, manga and Sound Stages combined! What the heck, 7Arcs?! So this is what you have been keeping from me for years now?! ONOREEEEE!!!

Okay, I won't rant... I won't rant...

*takes a deep breath*

Anyway, I didn't intend for the review to be that long. If I get the chance to watch Reinforce's and Shamal's (Yes, SHAMAL. Why? Why not? Shamal has been becoming more and more interesting to me lately.) storylines, I'll probably make a review similar to the one above as well. I only hope I can find the vids in Nicodouga, though. ><

I think it's keigo 'cause I seem to be able to understand the jist of what she's saying. Whereas me trying to watch something like Sengoku Basara leaves me going "Wtf just happened".

.... DARK PIECE HAYATE. T___T <3
Quoted for truth. T___T

By the way, I noticed that they flunked the ENGRISH again by having Raising Heart say Dark PEace instead of Piece in the dialogue script. XD It really fits Dark Peace Hayate. ;__;

@Thread: Aaanyway....

Let's talk about the Materials for a change. >:3

Is it just me or does Material-L gets the least love out of the three Ace Doppelgangers? She's the only one with no CG dedicated to her disappearing or appearance (at least none that I've seen.) She also seems a bit on the dull side since I saw a vid where Shamal manipulates M-L's pride to get her to spit plenty of important data about the enemy. M-L sounded rather PWN'd there when she realized how much she blabbed. XD

Out of the three, Material-S is my favorite. I like her polite speech pattern even more than Nanoha's. Hearing Yukari Tamura using a deeper tone reminiscent of Rika from Higurashi or Bernkastel from Umineko is a big plus. >:3 And her final attack chant is one of my favorites in the series: Tsudoishi negai ga... arata kagayaki hoshi to naru. Hikari satsu michi to nare! Synchro Shoukan!! Hishou seyo, Stardust Dragon!!!
"Tsuidoi, akaboshi. Subete yakikusu homura to nare! LUCIFERION BUREIKAAAA!!!!!" (Anybody knows what this translates to...?)

Anyways, off to sleep I go. It's already past 2 in the morning here...
