Interesting trivia: the title of this Yugioh season might actually be "ZEAL" not "ZEXAL", with the X being in fact a cross part of the logo, and not part of the title.
This has been "confirmed" (
or rather suggested) by one of Konami employee responsible for the TCG, Kevin tewart. This also explain why it is pronunced "ゼアル" and not something like "ゼクサル".
Of course, I have no idea why they use "zexal" for the URL links and whatnot. Unless, it is again another problematic miscommunication issue between Konami Japan and Konami US, as their translations for the exceeds (or Xyz...) are Leviathan Dragon (Revise dragon) and Utopia (yes, this is supposed to be Aspiring Emperor Hope).
