You're talking about Hayate -> Nagi's, right?
Well... romance are all about climbing over or breaking down walls. Granted, Hayate haven't really started to scale or kick down any of them for real, but this isn't shoujo either.
And Nagi's the one with the best plot device...opportunities if you want to call it so to speak, after all, like her or not... Popularity or compatibality are of course, something different altogether, but we'll see. Things don't always work out even if it looks like it's the best course of action, and this naturally applies to Nagi as well.
