Actually this resolves for me that Glass was just the president of Frontier not the entire NUN. Heck they had their own senate.
Frankly if I was Wilder I'd send one messenger to the closest colony or fleet (Macross 7?) to spill the beans about Leon's assasination plot and dictatorship.
Then NUNS sends a fleet (Chlore?) with the VFX Ravens in tow to clean Leon's clock.
