I'll second
Riviera: The Promised Land. It has the added bonus of a Japanese audio option.
Lunar: Silver Star Harmony is a pretty good RPG with anime cutscenes.
Pangya: Fantasy Golf is a very good arcade golf game (with a silly story). It's Korean but with anime style art... lots of anime girls and collectibles (clothing, etc.).

Just notice the thread was resurrected by you. Well I guess my suggestions fit your request, though if you are looking for games based on actual anime I can't help you... most of those don't make it in English.
