Well, you may be onto something there. Some people might initially look a show like Madoka and think
"They're going to talk about their feelings!!" and run away in terror.
I will say that one of the things that's interesting about anime (and the related industries), as opposed to a lot of Western entertainment, is that there are entire categories of shows that are "relationship-driven/feeling-centric content for guys". There's no doubt that this is weird for some people because it goes very much against the grain.
