Wow, I have just been lurking this thread the whole season, but I'm surprised at the backlash that the finale got. I don't know the light novels, but I almost saw the harem ending and non-resolution coming the moment evil Kaede appeared.
Then again, maybe it's because I didn't have any expectations for this show whatsoever. A harem show with a gender switch to make it Yuri. For something like that, I don't think it did too badly.
