The main problem I see with "preserving spirits" is... it doesn't feel Youth-ish at all. It's more like necromancy. Why not use the Youth incarnation to be bestow youth on them and be done with it? Yuri's weakening body would be a good reason for Youth to develop in such a direction, buffing with a lasting effect, too...
