Nice.... very damning, even allowing for her early treatment of Rin. You did leave out him worrying about her overworking and taking care of her when she was sick
but once he and Asa swirled ... both of them neglected her feelings in direct contradiction to their behavior for the last five plus years.
I guess one of the interesting things about japanese stories is that rarely is anyone a "hero" ... they all have flaws, make mistakes ... sometimes screw up when trying to do the right thing.
I think Rin had a lot of emotion for Kaede but it was multi-channel .... he cared for her but couldn't get over how she treated him and it came out in odd psychotic ways as you've documented. Moral of the story -- never take anyone for granted who does things for you, it is a terrible sort of hell.
