They didn't want to risk any chance that the three would tell. The people from the company says that people fall under greed in the face of great amounts of money. The company doesn't exactly know the three that well, so they are worried, even by a small chance, that one of the three gets greedy and tells someone.
They also don't want to kill people, especially women. They leave Lawrence to get eaten, they believe Horo is dead already, and they plan to kidnap Nora. Thus, they can prevent any one of the three from telling. Or so they think.
Overall, they're too assumptive that wolves will eat Lawrence, and they have no idea that Horo is a wolf. Nora... might be in trouble here.
In other words, they think everything will go their way...
