I'm not familiar with Agatha Christie but by the episode I was thinking that Oreki seemed to be turning into Sherlock Holmes with his ability to deduce a rather complete picture from the smallest of details. And I guess he and Chitanda should never speak of this to Satoshi, the poor guy is already jealous enough and really doesn't need to be reminded of Oreki's talent for extrapolation even more.
