Her crazy sister, who was a Master in the previous Grail War 8 years ago, sacrificed girls to summon the grail. One of the sacrifices was going to be Ayaka. Her father tried to reason with her sister and got tentacled torn apart in front of her eyes. Arthur, who was her Servant, saved Ayaka's life, by betraying his Master and killing her in front of her eyes.

Is it really surprising she's traumatized and doesn't want anything to do with the Holy Grail War that marked her for death? Yet she's forced into the thing she despises and wants to avoid.

IIRC, over the course of the Grail War in the original idea, Saber was going to be 'blackened' (Alter) and Ayaka will strike a deal with Lancer (because his Master died too) to fight against him as new Master and Servant or allies, idk. I'm assuming Lancer finally gets Gae Bolg back (it's sealed somewhere, he's using lame spears until he gets his hands on this).

This looks like a potentially good story =O

I think Gilgamesh was meant to be Proto-Archer all along. If you look at the scene where Proto-Archer used his ultimate (not sure if they're called NPs in the prototype), the winged "eye" and the circle of writing hints to a Mesopotamian origin. Not to mention his armor is quite similar to the current Gil's, but more revealing.

I really think Proto-Lancer's outfit looks better than that of his existing version =/
