Hmm, the author is slowly adding more painful backgrounds to the "villain" characters associated with the S.U.C. so that Shioon will eventually realize how messed up the current Murim is after hearing their story.

Anyway, before the man in black hunt Doc's ass, it's not unreasonable for Shioon to attack the guy who tied him up for at least 3 hours, tried to dissect him and on top of that told him that he was responsible for his mother's state. Stupid? Yes. But all that bottled up rage should go somewhere, right? If it was 9AD in the same weakened state, he'd probably ignored Sera from the start and went right ahead in the direction of the enemy without even thinking about escaping.

Now to hope that this is the final arc of Shioon being useless and getting in these messy situations.
