EDIT: Basically, Saber, if you want to know canon about anything EXCEPT Sheryl, Tak's a great one to talk to. When it comes to Sheryl, though, he KNOWS a lot but pretty much IGNORES the stuff he doesn't like. It's a flaw. We accept it, and understand. But it gives newcomers the wrong impression.
Here's the full deal: the VF-25 Master File book had a little story about two pilots who were clearly meant to be Sheryl and Alto going to the Macross Olympia Fleet together a few years after Frontier. This excited a lot of people. However, there was a disclaimer at the back of the book saying, "The stories in this book, specifically the Macross Olympia story, are not part of the official Macross setting."
Tak doesn't want you to know that, for his own reasons.
