To answer your question, your theme choice applies to Januaries contest. The banner contest (which will start in a day or two) will run the month of December and will feature a theme chosen by the staff.
I'd like to thank Marina, KiNA, Sephi, Ice Climbers, NightWish and Kasumigirl for helping out this year with the SOTM. Your efforts were most welcomed in easing the pains of keeping this running every month. Here's to another year! ^^
