If it was much later maybe, but the foreshadowing of the first real fight began in volume 2 already, not to mention Medaka's abnormal capabilities were shown one by one during the first 10 or 12 chapters. When will you understand that Nishio never intended to write a comedy/romance story in the first place?

In wich page that's said, please? Oh, well, each abnormal excel in certain capabilities, and that's what differentiates them.
