I'm not quite sure what she needs. A hug? A kick in the ass? It's a peculiar situation. Especially since that need must be balanced against humanity's need to fight the Noise, which would make things like "having her take a break somewhere warm, quiet, and safe" impossible.

Sounds like a really incompetent way to do things. Right now, she's reckless and undisciplined.
