I should be feeling frustrated because for not being able to catch up with the episodes on time now that season six is concluded, but episode fifty-second was the prologue to the epic finalé.
If I can make all jigsaw-puzzle pieces fit right without overlooking the details, then DarkKnightmon was essentially the mastermind throughout all of the show.
Spoiler:
Or rather he influenced events in the Digital World so as Baguramon could rise to the seat of power. Once on top of the throne, Baguramon declared the Xros Wars campaigan which ended up breaking the Digital World into the distinctive 108 zones to obtain the Code Crowns.
The question is if DarkKnightmon actually came up with the idea of Digi-Xros? or was it Omnimon or other higher being that came up with Digi-Xros first?
DarkKnightmon admitted honestly that he discovered Digi-Xros, and it was for the sole purpose of literally eaten his brother once the chance presented itself for an open end that left Baguramon with his guard down or not expecting it while being kept busy with D5.
From episode 52 we know that DarkKnightmon gave the Black Xros Loader to Yuu, which eventually turned Lavender once Nene proved her worth toward her friends. Then, DarkKnightmon gained another Xros-Loader which in turn was given away by Baguramon to Kiriha, which it in turn became the blue Xros-Loader.
The evidence suggests that it was DarkKnightmon actually who created the prototype Xros-Loaders wielded by both Nene and Kiriha, and Omnimon reversed-engineered that idea to give Taiki the red Xros-Loader.
However, that scenario is very malicious and macabre because it would be a first for the bad guys who actually came up with the Xros Loaders to lure their intended humans for promises of power or entertainment.
Another scenario is that DarkKnightmon is not the inventor of the Xros Loader, but he rather stole the idea from Omnimon and reversed-engineered it to create the black (now Lavender) and blue Xros-Loaders.
I got to say that DarkKnightmon is one of the best and my most favorite villain not only for Xros Wars but throughout the entire Digimon anime franchise, toppling the human Kurata from Digimon Savers off the top.
DarkKnightmon is relentless, ruthless, cunning, and cerebral, but what makes him very vilest is he's got the gift of speech to understand his intended victims; he's got that charisma that, although makes him suspicious at first glance due to his appearance, nonetheless, manages to understand their victims' motivations at the cerebral level.
So, I'm very pleased with the developments happening in episode 52 now that we got ourselves another dimensional, doomsday scenario in another digimon shows that has repeated only in Digimon Adventure, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Savers previously.
At the end, Tactimon's sword did play a role and a need for Baguramon's uses.
And the music, particularly DarkKnightmon's Team Twilight theme song was just awesome.
Holding down the impatience with two and just two episodes left to finish.
