I saw the first episode. It's okay. As far as the first episode goes, it's looks like a dry plot, almost too predictable. My guess of the entire plot below.

The main guy does stuff for money until he sees the results of what he's doing and how it hurts the people he cares about. He changes sides and practices with his mecha and in the end, he'll fight the main bad guy with a mecha just like his and he'll win, the end. Oh and they'll throw in how he called the mecha too.
