If you take this anime like Ef (so far, that is the only series I can compare this to, unless anyone else knows another visual novel-to-anime series that has multiple protagonists revealed in every episode that people can relate to), then this is actually an interesting/great way to start the series.
Spoiler:
So, here we have three protagonist, all who may be related in some way, unless the opening is just there as an opening.
Protagonist 1 is a high school student who apparently has a harem started already. Funny how everyone is trying to steal him from the others girls that also want his attention.
Protagonist 2 is seen in another side of town with his own issues, discussing with his "master," a perverted bartender that will get married because he accidentally knocked up his "wife," and his best friend, who could care less about the protagonist and bartender's plans, but harbors a soft side for the protagonist. The two girls noted so far are a student who is still trying to make it to a college but failed every time trying and a part-timer who is all over the silent and cool guy, but can give less care about the main protagonist. I'm surprised that she can still be with him despite his crude remarks towards her.
Protagonist 3 is seen in yet another side of town, who just happens to know almost everyone he meets. The main focused girl here is the loli, who apparently knows muh about the adult world than she should. It seems like her guardian? needs to keep a closer eye on her, just in case she gets many wrong ideas.
In any case, I found this series to be very interesting. Maybe it would be better if I played the visual novel as well, so that I can have some insight/prediction as to why they chose this style in the first place. Then again, I could be wrong.
