"She can do no wrong"? IIRC, most people were praising Akasaka for the way he tore Rita a new one in a previous episode. So, no, I don't think it just has to do with her being an attractive girl. Akasaka has a personality problem. He is unecessarily harsh and crude with people, even those close to him. It's cool when someone deserves it (Rita), but not so cool when they don't (Rita again). He has definitely lightened up a bit around her, and I expect it to continue.
