Fairy Tail is a typical shonen, with a standard hero. What I like in Fairy Tail is the art which is cool. Well Mashima does too much fan service for me, but his style is cool. I like his characters, especially Erza. I like to see strong female character and she is. In a lot of shonen, female are really bad and have boring fights. In Fairy Tail, we have some epic battle with female characters like Erza vs Erza (well every fight with Erza is a bit epic) or Mira vs Freed. And some battle are really epic, we feels the power.
But the best of Fairy Tail is.... the soundtrack on the TV show, it's really amazing. Incredible OST which give Fairy Tail a particular taste.
