Macross Plus was some really touching stuff with awesome mecha action. Seems to be that Gundam 00 is trying to pander to the Lowest Common Denominator across the broadest demographic. Hot Guys. Check!!! Hot Girls. Check!!! Mecha. Check!!! Romance subplots. Check!!! Political intrigue. Check!!! Angsty people with troubled pasts. Check!!!
Is Gundam 00 doomed to be yet another Jack Of All Trades, Master of None anime churned out every year? Something that isn't true art but meaningless titaliation.
