not necessarily true. if it is grimmjow i'm sure he has been powering up since we last saw him and the power levels between characters has been completely altered again (like how kenpachi who was beaten by pre-bankai ichigo was thrust back into the top-teir of fighters in subsequent arcs. and in kenpachi's case there wasn't even a reason. in grimmjow's case, i'm sure he's been training/eating hollows)
also, when push comes to shove nobody is stronger than ichigo
