"Black Hole Buster Cannon"?

I wouldn't start counting that cash yet. First off, OG has a history of changing things around to come up with different scenarios and stuff, and even without that, nothing really happened between Ryusei and Mai in Alpha any more than what's happened between Ryusei and Latooni in the OG saga. On top of that, they tend to make more of a note on Latooni's crush on Ryusei in OG than Mai's crush. And while the rule has been becoming less of a rule in recent titles, there's always icing from the rule of "the girl he met first." And In terms of amount of OG coverage, RyuseixLatooni is well ahead of RyuseixMai. You have the one sene in OG 2 where Ryusei saved Mai. In OG Gaiden there was the introduction of the combo attack, but that actually focused a bit more on Latooni's feelings for Ryusei than Mai's. You also generally see a lot more of Latooni's feelings for Ryusei popping up in the dialogue more often than Mai's

That said, when the OG saga comes to an end (not for quite a while, God willing ), I fully expect it to be left open with no winner. The whole thing just feels like it's heading in that direction. BLARGH.
Ijust don't see them killing the canon relationships from other SRW verses. Sorta like how Kyosuke and Excellen have to get together in the OG verse, in all its incantations, even though OG isn't the original verse they appeared in and things have happened differently. To me I saw it as just Latooni building up closer to the point where she drops her little crush and garners the courage to move on.

Eh, I wouldn't be surprised if they do decide to leave Latooni a loli by the end of the OG verse and leave everyone unsatisfied due to no closure. Sorta like how Z2.2 almost gave closure for Crowe and Esther, at least for the IF route when she finally hounds him over who he does like, but they derailed that fast when the word "Debt" was brought and he freaks out in the end without ever becoming a couple, officially, with Esther.

They just don't seem to like committing when it comes to love triangles.
