Well this is quite simple, let's take a minute and go back to EP1
When during the family dinner on Rokkenjima, people were seated according to their 'seats' in the family

-The only extra seat was Maria's dad and filled by Dr.Nanjo, however, where's Ange's seat?

Even if Ange cannot make it to the Meeting, they should still leave a spot for her as a symbol
So;

-The seat which Battler took was actually supposed to be Ange's

And also, remember in EP2, in the garden at the beginning
Eva stated that George is the ONLY grandson in the family
What about Battler? Did she intentionally left him out?
That's probably because:

-Battler abandoned his title as an Ushiromiyan 6 yrs ago
-Because of this, his seat/rank was given to Ange, and he is no longer able to inherit any of the family's legacy as a right
-The only reason why he was involved should be, like Kinzo had stated: Anyone who was on the island on Oct. 4th and 5th 1986, can and IS participated in the game

So in return, the Ushiromiya Battler was gone 6 yrs ago, and this Battler is no longer in Ushiromiya Family
...Maybe Rosa was actually right in EP2 in the end...O_O

Hmmm..that sorta makes sense...and I guess it would leave open the possibility of Battler both existing and not.

Battler is Battler, he is Kinzo's grandson related by blood (by Rudolf), but he is not Ushiromiya Battler because he abandoned the name? Something like that? Idk
