Koyasu still has more roles than any other voice actor to date, though.
You're right in that he's typecast, but he still has more roles than anyone else.

The problem with casting Sugita is that you'd never be able to avoid the comparisons to Kyon, in a role like this.
Kamiya fits this role absurdly well, anyway. He sounds so crazy when he yells.
