BTW, any thoughts on who should be Shami's(f) VA?
In the novels, Shamisen(m) was supposed to be baritone; but the anime used the nasal rasp of Genma Saotome. Probably a shout out to his father-of-the-year moment when he trained his son in the Cat Fist. In this same vein, the appropriate VA for Shamisen(f) would be Megumi Hayashibara.
Or perhaps a more matronly voice like "Jyunana-sai desu!" Inoue Kikuko? That's just as funny to me.
